EXPANSION
COMING TO A CITY NEAR YOU
Beginning in Summer s2008, Drink for Charity will host regional events in major cities throughout the United States as part of its goal to have $100,000 in revenues in 2008. Preliminary steps have already been taken in major cities such as: New Orleans, Boston, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago and Washington DC. Each city will be coordinated by a local liaison who will work closely with the directors and officers of Drink for Charity Inc. to ensure that every event follows the policies and procedures established under the organization’s bylaws. Fundraisers held in each city will raise funds and promote the causes of local charities that are relevant to that particular region and that are approved by the Drink for Charity Board of Directors. All cities will begin with a kick-off fundraising event which will be attended by a director and/or officer, after which the liaison will act as the “Executive Director” of the organization in each major city.
In addition to holding fundraising events in major cities throughout the United States, Drink for Charity is expanding to include coordination of community service activities for its members and supporters in its planned activities for 2008. In providing opportunities for members to volunteer their time as well as contribute funds, Drink for Charity will further accomplish its tax-exempt purpose in fostering an environment that promotes charity among young, urban professionals and provide charities with the precious resource of manpower. The first such event will be held on July 19th in Plainfield, NJ.
